Community-Driven Repatriation Center - May 2008

posted 06/19/08 13:18:16 by

We have nine (9) classes in CDRC project namely: Non-Violent communication, Community Development, Business Affairs &Community Economics, , Youth group activities, Repatriation Informatiom Sessions, SFCG listening sessions, Reintegration workshop, Pamoja Support Group &Savings Led Microfinance.

There is success in all the above CDRC classes as pertaining to attendance. The only challenge we encountered was in the delay of printing certificates for students’ who were about to go to Congo on repatriation before they received their certificates. That made few participants from the community get discouraged to attend classes and some of the new students as if they would not get certificates upon completion of the courses . we have managed to convinced the community at section leaders meetings that the delay in giving them their certificates was due to lack of ink which has been sorted out . There is now an increase in the number of students attending our classes .Its also good to note that many students are very happy with the knowledge they are obtaining from various projects under FORGE .
