There were different activities (poems, dramas and songs) performed by the youth group of both Kala and Mwange refugee camps. In all of these performances, the youth tried to encourage people in the community to think of being repatriated. One repeated message was; “there is no better place like home”. “It is better to be repatriated in order to go and build one’s country”. “The one who forgets his home land for another place is stupid”. The vivid example shown to the community on that day was of the Immigrants and refugees in South Africa about how they were chased, harassed and killed (see xenophobia).
Though we are living in the country of asylum, Zambia we still remember our culture, style of dressing, dancing because it is educative to our future generation and this can also be a blend of culture with our host community.
