Summary of project status and achievements:
In June, FORGE Microlending Project began the process of receiving maize and money as payment for the agro-loans which were given out in September. As of the end of the month FMP has collected 1,810 metas of maize and 1,830,000 kwacha (accounting for the equivalent of 915 metas of maize). This means that in July there remains 2,475 metas of maize (or the equivalent of 2,000 kwacha per meta) to be collected. The maize was collected in Zones D, F, and C. The money to collect, transport, and store the maize was taken out of the general cash box.
Loan collections continued as normal with follow ups being conducted by the PM with clients who are not paying in a timely fashion.
