Summary of project status and achievements:
The PTAs for the Village 68 and 74 schools were split up this month to facilitate improved attendance at the Village 74 location. Both PTAs enjoyed end of term performances by the pupils. Overall, the students exhibited great development, though attendance has been a struggle due to the cultivation season. In the words of the Coordinator’s monthly report, “We are so far predicting a huge success come next term. Thumbs Up.”
Future activities and projections:
A new adult literacy curriculum is being created by the coordinator for the Village 68 women’s English class because the introductory level MCAC curriculum is not being understood by the students, who have never spoken English before. The young adult curriculum at Village 74 will also be finalized over the April term break. Mwangaza staff will be participating in the same staff development activities mentioned for Kunachi and Dufatanye staff.
